Pakistan, China ink MoU for lunar mission in 2028

Pakistan and China have signed an MoU for Pakistan’s first lunar rover to join China’s Chang’E 8 mission in 2028. The agreement, signed during President Asif Ali Zardari’s visit to China, marks a major step for Pakistan’s space program. SUPARCO’s rover will explore the Moon’s south pole, carrying advanced scientific payloads developed in collaboration with Chinese and European scientists. This mission will enhance lunar surface analysis, soil composition studies, and technological advancements for future lunar exploration.
