Pakistan, Azerbaijan agree to enhance bilateral investment to $2bn

Pakistan and Azerbaijan have agreed to enhance bilateral investment to $2 billion, focusing on economic cooperation and defence collaboration. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Ilham Aliyev discussed strengthening ties, with Pakistan supporting Azerbaijan’s international infrastructure corridor, leveraging Gwadar Port. Multiple MoUs were signed in trade, energy, and education, including agreements between SOCAR, PSO, and Pakistan Refinery Limited. Both nations reaffirmed their commitment to fostering long-term partnerships and mutual growth across key sectors.
