Govt approves new Gwadar Shipyard Project under CPEC Phase II
The government has approved the New Gwadar Shipyard Mega Project under CPEC Phase II, with Rs. 200 million allocated for Project Management Cell (PMC). This initiative aims to boost Gwadar Port’s development by supporting commercial shipbuilding, repairs, and job creation. With 750 acres of land earmarked for the project, tenders will be issued to international companies. Local Balochistan workers will receive priority for employment. The shipyard will use cutting-edge technology, positioning Pakistan as a key player in the global shipbuilding industry.
