The first Airbus A319 lands at New Gwadar International Airport
The New Gwadar International Airport marked a historic milestone with the landing of its first Airbus A319. The special flight from the UAE demonstrated the airport’s ability to accommodate large aircraft. Operational since Jan. 20, the China-aided 4F-grade airport features a 3,658-meter-long runway, making it a key hub for regional trade. This milestone strengthens Gwadar’s global connectivity and reinforces its role in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
